Here is a new book from Roman Catholic Cardinal Sarah, that speaks eloquently and theologically about the vital role of silence in Christian spirituality, liturgy and daily life.
It’s set in a conversational tone, so it’s more easy to follow than just a dry theological treatise. I particularly appreciated the Chapter Four’s discussion on “God’s silence and the Face of Evil”, and Chapter Five’s witness of the monks in the silence at the Grande Chartreuse Monastery. Enjoy!
