God of love and light: During these Lenten days, light the lamp of our eyes with wisdom. Light the torch of hearts with love. Light the bonfire of our bellies with God-desire. Cure our sadness. Warm our coldness. Drench our drought with your divine love. Lead us into the abandonment of your loving embrace, where we can’t figure out where we end and you begin. Caught in the mystery of this life, we are upheld by the certainty of your laughter, breath and being. Like the stars, unabashedly spinning in love each night, we too are a light in this world known to others by our Lenten drunk love. Through Christ, with Christ, in the unity of the Spirit. Amen.
