When in darkness, with no light but that which in our heart does burn, you Lord Jesus, bring the warmth of love beyond all our experiences of being made wrong by the doing of life. Aware of our own powerlessness, we come under the merciful recognition that it is you drawing us out of the shadows and filling our hearts with love. In your love, we live and in your life we are lifted out of our darkness. Through Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
