God of Mercy: You turn our failures into perfect love. Underneath the frictions of personality, is the peace of essence. Help us to remember this truth and to forget all things to the contrary. We are not defined by the surface of things. We are defined by the one from whom we come and to whom we return, and You our God are the Essence of Love. Amen.
